Baltic Three Capitals Tour

1. DAY  ·  Istanbul - Riga

We meet at Istanbul Airport's international terminal between 13:00-14:00, and after check-in, depart for Riga on a direct Turkish Airlines flight. After landing, we transfer to our hotel in the Old Town (Vecrīga) area and spend the evening on a short exploratory walk to get our first feel for the city.

2. DAY  ·  Riga History, Culture and Architecture Discovery

After breakfast, we spend a full day exploring Riga's historic Old Town. We visit St. Peter's Church, the House of the Blackheads, Riga Cathedral, the Swedish Gate and the Powder Tower. We see the Freedom Monument (Milda) and walk along the canal in Bastejkalna Park. We end the day with a stroll along Alberta iela, home to some of the finest examples of Art Nouveau architecture.

3. DAY  ·  Transfer from Riga to Tallinn

After breakfast, we travel to Tallinn by coach, a journey of about 4-4.5 hours. After checking into our hotel, we set out on an exploratory walk through Tallinn's Old Town, visiting Town Hall Square (Raekoja plats), the historic Raeapteek pharmacy, Saint Catherine's Passage and the old city walls.

4. DAY  ·  Helsinki Day Trip by Sea

Leaving our bags in hotel storage, we cross the Baltic Sea by morning ferry (about 2 hours) to Helsinki. We visit Senate Square, Helsinki Cathedral, Market Square, the rock-carved Temppeliaukio Church, Oodi Library and Esplanadi Park. In the evening we return to Tallinn by ferry.

5. DAY  ·  Return from Tallinn to Riga

After breakfast, we return to Riga by coach, a journey of about 4-4.5 hours. In the afternoon we take a walk along the Daugava riverside, see the exterior of Riga Castle, and enjoy free time at the cafés around Dome Square.

6. DAY  ·  Sigulda and Turaida Nature Route

In the morning we travel by train or vehicle to Sigulda National Park, known as "the Switzerland of Latvia." We take in the impressive views of the Gauja River Valley and visit the medieval Turaida Castle. In the afternoon we return to Riga, with the evening free.

7. DAY  ·  Return from Riga to Istanbul

Leaving our bags at the hotel, we begin our last day with free time for cafés and shopping. Between 16:30-17:30 we transfer to the airport, returning to Istanbul on a direct Turkish Airlines flight and completing this Baltic discovery.
